Abstract : The effect of nucleophilic reagents on the quasi-aromatic system of trimeric phosphonitrilic chloride and the mechanism of the substitution are investigated. 2, 3, 4, or 6 Cl atoms of (PNCl2)3 are easily substituted by nucleophilic ligands. Strongly nucleophiclic reagents attack in 1- or 3- position. Further substitution follows in 5 position of the six membered ring system. With weak electron donors as reagents substitution takes place in another sequence. The substitution rules are checked by the synthesis of isomers. The nuclear magnetic resonance spectra are in agreement with the chemical reasoning. (Author)
