Abstract : The objective of this study was to learn whether or not a series of mental hygiene films could be used to effect changes in self-regarding attitudes and consequently effect improvement in an individual's personal adjustment. It was concluded that selected films can have some influence on an individual's perception of himself and may effect changes in the way he regards himself. Films are probably effective to the extent that they treat problems similar to those faced by the individual, and to the extent that the problems are shown to evolve out of situations closely similar to those which have been experienced by the individual himself.
