Abstract : The report presents the contribution of geodetic measurement errors to the measurement of vehicle position and velocity by trilateration and triangulation methods. Mathematical expressions are derived that describe the propagation of survey measurement errors through coordinate transformations. A numerical example of the error in trilaterative position and velocity determination, resulting from uncertainty in the location of the measuring instrument, is included. (Author)
