Abstract : Applying a series expansion of Laguerre polynomials in the solution of the plasma kinetic equation, in which Coulomb collisons are described by FokkerPlanck collision term and electronneutral collisions by the Boltzmann collision term, elements of a 20 x 20 determinant (compared to 3 x 3 obtained by Landhoff and 4 x4 by Shkarofsky) were obtained for equilibrium plasma for the electronelectron and electronion contributions. At present convergence studies on dc and ac electric conductivity indicate slow convergence with increasing size of the determinant and, as a surprising feature, an oscillating solution as a function of the size of the determinant.
