Abstract : The wave equation is solved for general geometries and boundary conditions by two methods. The problem is reduced to the frequency domain and is solved using an integral equation formulation appropriate to the given boundary condition. The retarded potential integral equation is applied to objects with the rigid boundary condition. Where possible, numerical results are compared with experiment, eigenfunction expansions, and approximate solutions. (Author)
