Abstract : A design for the overall Department of Defense Land Fallout Prediction System (DELFIC) was completed and successfully tested by operation on the IBM 7094 computer. Several of the major component parts of the system were developed in their entirety at Technical Operations Research. These include the Initial Conditions Module (under contract DA 18-035-AMC-346(A)), the Transport Module, and the Output Processor Module (under contract DA 18-035-AMC-737(A)). In addition, an extensive effort was devoted to development of a cloud rise model that is appropriate for use with the DELFIC system; the model is to be used in the initial version of the system.
