Abstract : The average particle size of platinum black samples was determined by X-ray diffraction, adsorption (BET), and electron microscopic techniques. Stacking faults, twinning, locked-in strain, and stored energy were obtained by the Warren-Averbach method. Particle size distribution was measured by two electron microscopic methods and found to conform to a log-normal distribution. Results obtained by the various methods are compared. (Author)
