Abstract : The Kconversion coefficients corresponding to four transitions in Cs133 were determined applying the electrongamma coincidence method. The gammarays have been detected with conventional scintillation counters. A special electrongamma coincidence spectrometer was constructed by using, as electron detector, a lithiumdrifted semiconductor counter operated into a vacuum chamber at low temperature. An analysis of electronconversion spectra were performed by studying the line shapes of standard single lines as a function of the energy. The following values were obtained: alphaK (0.081)=1.34 plus or minus 0.09, (K/LM=5.4 plus or minus 0.5); alphaK (0.277)=0.054 plus or minus 0.010, (K/LM=5.5 plus or minus 1.5); alphaK (0.305)=0.037 plus or minus 0.003; and alphaK (0.356)=0.023 plus or minus 0.002, (K/LM=5.0 plus or minus 0.5). As a byproduct the conversion coefficient for the 0.376MeV transition was determined by analysis of the singles electron and gammaray spectra, its value being alphaK (0.387)=0.028 plus or minus 0.010, K/LM5 plus or minus 1.
