Abstract : North American blastomycosis is a chronic granulomatous disease of man and animals caused by the fungus Blastomyces dermatitidis. In this male coonhound, lesions were present in the lungs, thoracic and mesenteric lymph nodes and the eye. The ocular lesions were particularly striking and as such are described in detail. No lesions were apparent in the intestinal tract, liver, spleen, kidneys, adrenals, pancreas, testes, urinary bladder, prostate, brain, or spinal cord. (Author)
