Abstract : A table of exact critical values of the information measure H is presented for the case of n observations in k equiprobable categories (2 < or = n < or = 15, 2 < or = k < or = 15). H is equivalent to the log likelihoodratio criterion of goodness of fit. The significance levels given are: a < or = .200, .100, .050, .025, .010, .005, .001. Exact significance levels are presented for a < or = .050, and it is shown that the true significance levels of usual test (based on the chi square approximation to the distribution of the log likelihoodratio) at the nominal .050 level exceed this value in 55 percent of the cases examined.
