Abstract : Construct validity of ambivalence was demonstrated by its relationships with socialization practices, personality traits, risk-taking behavior, perceptual impulsiveness and rigidity, and modes of binocular resolutions. Utilities and outcome-determinants affect relationships of risk-taking with personality and perception variables. Situational factors (eg. previous failure, stress, time interval between choice and performance) greatly influence risk choices. Engaging in risky situations seems to have reward value.
