Abstract : A straightforward mass spectrometric determination of the dimerization heat of rare gases is shown to be feasible. A method of data reduction is proposed which appears to yield a depth of the potential well independent of prior choice of the form of the potential function. Errors in the measurements are discussed. (Author)
