Abstract : The report documents the effort which has to date gone into providing the on-line, real-time capability needed for the Moore School problem solving facility. The facilities described allow a user at a remote terminal to prepare input, execute programs on a computer and examine his output. The programs described are responsible for controlling this process by transmitting and buffering the data to and from the computer, translating between external and internal codes, and scheduling the computers' efforts.
