Abstract : The article describes an experiment in which a plasma gun is used to synthesize crystals. High-frequency argon plasma guns with water-cooled quartz walls are investigated and the plasma jet produced by a gun with sectional metal walls is examined. Synthesis of crystals in a plasma jet by the Verneuil method and the zone recrystallization procedure is discussed.
