Abstract : A motor performance test was devised to ascertain myoelectric response associated with practice and fatigue effect. Five subjects participated in the study over a period of three weeks during which practice and test sessions were uniformly spaced. Using performance times as a criterion measure of proficiency, associated myoelectric data were correlated to determine total electrical energy output and synergic pattern relationships. Results revealed individual responses, but in general, also revealed an increase in total electrical energy output when performance times were significantly reduced. Except during post-fatigue tests, there was no absolutely repeatable pattern (relative ranking by amplitudes) of the multiple contracting muscles. (Author)
