Abstract : The memorandum describes the implementation and utility of a computational tool called Analyst Assistance Program (AAP). AAP is a conversational computing facility used for performing small non-recurring numerical computations. The language was designed to make it possible for non-programmers to learn and use the system with a minimal amount of instruction (10-15 minutes). The system is implemented on an IBM 360/40 computer which consist of two user consoles, each with a cathode ray tube display, light pen and low speed printer.
