Abstract : Current measurements were made from Ice Island T-3 during the summer of 1965. Two current regimes were identified. One was in the pycnocline where a strong current core developed occasionally. The second was in the nearly isopycnal water below 400 meters, where the currents were slow and no significant shear was found. Inertial oscillation was detected in the island's drift. (Author)
