Abstract : A regression model considering latitude, longitude, and day-of-year as the independent variables proves capable of estimating the seasonal variation of sea-surface temperature off the west coast of the United States to a standard deviation of less than 1F. Time/space interpolation promises to increase the yield of information from a given number of observations. Applications are seen in data editing and summarizing of archived information. (Author)
