Abstract : The crystal structure analysis and least squares refinement of fluorophlogopite were completed. Detailed analysis of the data clearly indicates that the space group of fluorophlogopite is C2/m. The final R factor obtained with this space group using the counter data and the range estimate weighting scheme is 6.1%. A detailed discussion of the structure in terms of the various bond distances, bond angles and thermal vibrational parameters, is given. A brief summary of the results obtained from the Berg-Barrett x-ray diffraction patterns of the micas under various experimental conditions, is also given. (Author)
