Abstract : It is generally known that soils in their natural state consist of solid or discrete particles of various sizes which fill in the interstices between air particles and soil moisture. The purpose of the present work is to ascertain the thermophysical properties of soil under natural conditions and to investigate the relationship between these characteristics and soil compactness and soil moisture.
