Abstract : The study is on the radiation and heat balance, and of the microclimate of landscapes typical for sandy deserts of Soviet Central Asia. The purpose of the expeditions was to investigate in greater detail insofar as possible, the radiation and heat balances of the more common landscapes of sandy deserts and thereby to obtain a concept of conditions under which the microclimate of these landscapes is formed and to determine the order of the value of their microclimatic differences.
