Abstract : In connection with the extensive reclamation of drained bogs for arable farm lands, the availability of quantitative characteristics of the hydrometeorological regime, which exerts a considerable influence on the growth, development and yields of farm crops, is of great interest. In the present article, peculiarities in the summer air temperature and humidity regimes over a drained bog are studied. The region under investigation is a plain, and mostly a lowland bog, in which the thickness of the reed-sedge peat attains four meters in boggy soils. For the purpose of comparison, quantitative characteristics of air temperature and humidity over three different plots (fields) are presented. (Author)
