Abstract : The studies were mainly concerned with the possible mechanisms of action of the compound in protecting the animals from the lethal effects of severe hypoxia and the design and manufacture of a decompression chamber which would permit utilization of four Skinner boxes to determine the effects of phenformin HCl on performance and learning at simulated high altitude.
