Abstract : Using the recently developed glow discharge shock tube, measurement was made of the temperature and density dependence of the Lewis-Rayleigh afterglow between 300 and 2400K. The absolute efficiency, i.e., the rate constant of this chemiluminescent reaction, was also determined.
