Abstract : Locations of the fifteen stations at which bottom photographs were obtained during BEAR Cruise 258 are shown. A detailed chart showing the relation of these stations to local topography is given. Twenty-seven photographs are given in the report. Prominent in most of the photographs is the sediment cloud raised by the impact of the weight on the bottom, which occurs one-tenth of a second before the photograph is taken. (Author)
