Abstract : The training technology used in the development and revision of training programs emphasizes (1) the determination of the job requirements for which training is to be provided; (2) the translation of these job requirements into specific measurable training objectives; (3) a determination of the beginning level of instruction based on pre-existing student knowledge; (4) the development of content and methods relevant to the job requirements; and (5) the development of a quality control program that insures that the training provided fulfills the requirements established by the preceding four principles.
