Abstract : Sections 1.1 - 1.4 present the problems, the administration of the work and reports on travel, lectures and publications. Some general comments are made as to the applications of statistical methods (2.1 - 2.5). One-dimensional distributions are commented upon in 3.1 - 3.4 and some provisional results given. Time series are presented, following lines used in econometry, in 4.1-4.7; some simple types, stationary and non-stationary, have been considered in 5.1 - 5.7, especially with respect to predictability. The importance of 'mixed' series as models for smoothed variables and variables with 'non-assimilable' errors has been emphasized, and a simple application made to principles of long-range forecasting. In 6.1 - 6.4 stochastic processes have been treated; in particular we have discussed the loss of information caused by grouping. Finally, in 7.1 - 7.5, some provisional results have been presented with respect to weather types (defined by H. Johansen and P. Andersen) and their use as discriminant functions for precipitation and thunderstorms. (Author)
