Abstract : During the determination of sensitivity of photoelectric slave systems for automatic telescope guidance, the fluctuations of the dark current are assumed to represent the basic input perturbation. However, during the tracking of stars additional input interferences may be generated by the flickering of stars. The basic method for the study of such flickering consists of the study of the so called 'traces.' The present article describes a more objective photoelectric balance method for the study of flickering developed at the Institut elektromekhaniki (Institute of Electromechanics). The method was described elsewhere. The present note describes certain modifications introduced in 1963 and gives, as an example, a spectral density diagram obtained by means of the AZT-7 telescope of the KrAO.
