Abstract : A new measurement of the magnitude of the neutral-K-1 - neutral-K-2 mass difference was completed using the 'gap method'. The virtue of this method, which consists of monitoring the coherently regenerated neutral-K-1 intensity behind two slabs of material separated by a variable air gap, is its relative freedom from possible systematic errors. The result for the mass difference does not depend on precise knowledge of either the nuclear regeneration amplitude or the details of the detection efficiency of the apparatus. (Author)
