Abstract : The Final Report entitled an 'Investigation of the Application of the Visioplasticity Method of Analysis to Metal Deformation Processes' consists of the following two parts: Part I Results and Analysis from Visioplasticity Studies, Part II Extrusion Atlas - Summarized Computer Results in Graphical Form from Visioplasticity Studies. The report contains computer calculated quantities in graphical form. The data are the result of extrusion studies at room temperature for both one-inch diameter and two-inch diameter split billets. The computed cases shown are only those where steady-state stream lines could be established. Other extrusion results where the grid lines tended to be obliterated for a variety of reasons, mainly surface friction, are not shown. These latter experiments may be successful at such time when improved techniques of grid line marking are used. Table I gives a summary of the conditions of the tracked and computed extrusion data which are presented in graphical form in the report. (Author)
