Abstract : The paper is a study of the gravitational field of the Atlantic Ocean and its connection with the abyssal structure of the earth's crust. There are three main groups of regions: the regions of deep oceanic depressions, the regions of underwater ridges, and oceanic islands and the transition region from the ocean to the continents. The anomalies peculiar to each region are discussed. The comparison of gravimetric, magnetic and seismic data is fully discussed. An observation of the thicknesses of the sedimentary, granitic and basaltic layers in the area of the Atlantic Ocean is made. On the basis of seismic and gravimetric investigations, it is possible to compile a diagram of the plutonic structure in the area of the Atlantic Ocean. The compilation of this diagram is discussed and shown. The author of this article has calculated and constructed a series of profiles which cross the Atlantic Ocean, some of which are presented in this paper. (Author)
