Abstract : Under general ether anesthesia, the abdominal cavity was opened by a median section between the xiphoid process and the umbilicus. No fluid was noted in the abdominal cavity. No changes were observed in the stomach or the liver. A dense tuberous tumor, the size of an adult fist was palpated through the gastrocolic ligament. During removal, it was established that the tumor originated from the head of the pancreas, protruding with its main mass above the surface of the gland. The tumor was enucleated. (Author)
