Abstract : Efficient, broadband coupling to the lowest order surface magnetostatic mode has been demonstrated experimentally. An S-band limiter with over 600 MHz bandwidth and 2 to 4 db insertion loss has been built. The limiting threshold varies from 20 to 40 mW, with dynamic range bettter than 20 db throughout the band. An S-band helix expander has been fabricated. Its maximum high level insertion loss is not more than 1.5 db. A C-band subsidiary resonance limiter having limiting threshold of about 50 mW has been built. (Author)
