Abstract : Studies on Quaternary changes in shoreline have been carried out in various parts of the world. In the Western Hemisphere, fossil mollusks were studied from the Bahamas, Bermuda, Grand Cayman, the Pacific Northwest and the Atlantic Coastal Plain. In the Eastern Hemisphere, studies were made on material from England, the Canary Islands, Senegal and Mauritania. Some of these studies are reported on in final or preliminary manner, while other phases of the work have been carried over to 1968. Six publications were directly or indirectly the result of this project. Three deal with Argentina and Chile, Virginia, and the Canary Islands, while three papers are of a more general nature.
