Abstract : A theoretical explanation is given for the following paramagnetic phenomena caused by spin-phonon interaction: (1) absorption of the energy of an alternating magnetic field parallel to a constant field; (2) absorption of acoustic energy in a paramagnetic substance due to the interaction of spins with each other and with thermal phonon; (3) rotation in the plane of polarization of a cross-polarized acoustic wave during passage through a paramagnetic crystal; (4) interaction of spins through the phonon field; (5) electron paramagnetic resonance saturation.
