Abstract : A spectrophotometric analysis was performed on the tinted windscreen of the U. S. Army AH-1G helicopter. The results of this test, considered in conjunction with the conclusions of other researchers working with both aircraft and automobile tinted windshields, have led to the recommendation that no tinted media should be positioned between the pilot and his normal field of view during heavy overcast days, at twilight, or at night.
