Abstract : Meteorological research and development in cloud physics and warm fog were performed in broad areas of instrumentation, field programs and data processing. The AFCRL Fog Research Site at Otis AFB, Falmouth, Mass., was instrumented, operated and maintained in the summer months of 1965 as a part of Project Cat Feet. Case histories of warm fog were obtained with instruments including a laser disdrometer, liquid-water content meters, transmissometers wind sensors, neclei counters, a micrometeorological tower, and atmospheric electricity meters. Instrumentation and equipment were designed, built and tested for both airborne and ground use. Extensive modifications were made to an airborne raindrop spectrometer and to a drop charge meter. A thermal gradient cloud-nuclei chamber was developed; a laser disdrometer system was devised for calibration of liquid water content meters in the Cloud Physics wind tunnel; ground field mills and equipment shelters were designed and built; sferics gear, temperature sensors and liquid-water content meters were tested and developed.
