Abstract : The article reports the first Chinese record of a parasitic tick that parasitized the human anus for over 8 months and was carefully identified. Its scientific name is Amblyomma cyprium Neumann, 1899. This article includes the detailed morphological description and illustrations, and discusses its distribution, source, and relation to closely related species. The specimen is now kept in the Medical Entomology Section, Institute of Parasitology, Chinese Academy of Medical Science. (Author)
