Abstract : Gynecological examination of a female patient revealed an attached tick on the internal surface of the left labia minora. The hypostome had penetrated deeply into the labial tissue, and the tick was engorged. It was with great difficulty that it was extracted with tweezers. The tick proved to be Hyalomma plumbeum Panzer. The case history revealed that the patient sheared sheep, and it is probably then that the tick attached to her. (Author)
