Abstract : The effects of viscoelasticity on the response of a fluid filled viscoelastic spherical shell imbedded in an infinite acoustic medium are investigated. The shell is subjected to a harmonic internal pressure. Solutions are presented for the displacement field in the shell and the external and internal acoustic pressure fields. The viscoelastic materials used for numerical results were high and low damping rubbers in the frequency ranges of 10 - 3,000 cps and at 5C. (Author)
