Abstract : Previous studies have considered the solution of certain problems in the theory of cylindrical shells by a method worked out by N. A. Kilchevskiy using a system of integrodifferential equations in displacements. In this paper consideration is given to problems which reduce to a solution of a system of integral equations in the forces and moments. A typical problem is presented and solved.
