Abstract : The authors introduce an operational principle for construction of an electronic root solver is based on the principles of Lukaszewicz. A 400-cps sinusoidal signal is fed to the 6 root solving circuits, each having a feedback network capable of producing a phase shift of 90 deg. The tuned amplifier is used to improve the null-detection sensitivity. The authors claim that the instrument is capable of solving algebraic equations involving real coefficients up to the sixth-order with an error lower than 5%, if constructed based on their principle. The principle also applies to other root solving instruments for algebraic equations of higher order. (Author)
