Abstract : The study of the alkaromatic chlorocarbons initiated some years ago was continued. New syntheses of highly strained, overcrowded chlorocarbons were performed. In total, fifteen new reactions were found. A new class of substances was discovered: the Inert Free Radicals. Also, stable alpha-chlorocarbanion salts and other chlorinated carbanions were prepared for the first time. A total of seventy-three new highly chlorinated and perchlorinated substances is reported, including twelve carbon free radicals. (Author)
