Abstract : Interlevel correlation coefficients between pairs of thermodynamic variables have been computed at 2-kilometer intervals from the surface to 28 kilometers for several stations throughout the world. In this report tables of correlations are presented for the following three stations Thule, New York, and Albrook. Specifically, the following six types of information are tabulated: (1) correlation coefficients between temperatures at different levels; (2) interlevel correlations between density and pressure; (3) interlevel correlations between temperature and pressure; (4) interlevel correlations between temperature and density; (5) correlations between densities at different levels; and (6) correlations between pressures at different levels. The report also contains several maps which illustrate the horizontal variations of certain correlations. (Author)
