Abstract : The number of students at the institutions of higher learning of the Soviet Union increased in 1963 by 1.4 times as compared with the enrollment in 1957. This puts a great stress on the teaching staff and leads to the need for the rationalization of the teaching process. After outlining the basic principles of the learning process, the present authors describe the teaching program for the students of the Industrial Electronics course (which is the fourth in the Automation and Telemechanics curriculum) which then served as the basis for the construction of the appropriate table model electronic teaching machine. The entire course was divided into eight sections each of which was further subdivided into three subsections or information units. The article describes the program as well as the design and operation of the teaching machines. This simple teaching machine was used with success in the teaching process. (Author)
