Abstract : An approximate method is discussed for the determination of cited elastic and thermal characteristics of materials reinforced with fibers. A model is proposed for the determination of mean stresses. The method makes it possible to determine approximate values for the cited characteristics and mean stresses for each of the components of the composition material, rather than the boundaries of change. The expressions for the cited characteristics are derived in closed form. This method makes it possible to determine the indicated quantities with defining the stressed state of the material.
