Abstract : Previous methods of obtaining an electric conducting layer on the surface of dielectrics required complex equipment and could lead to formation of an oxide film on the copper surface thereby lowering the conductivity of the covering. In the method proposed here a layer of copper selenide is deposited on the dielectrics and subsequent heat treatment is conducted in an atmosphere of gaseous oxygen rather than in sulfur vapors. This simplifies the technology of the treatment and improves the quality of the covering. Electric conducting layers of copper selenide can be used to produce electroluminescent capacitors based on organic glasses and flexible polymers, to remove harmful static changes from the surface of organic and inorganic dielectrics, and to heat organic viewing glasses.
