Abstract : Pitot measurements have long proved satisfactory for measuring flows from most sources encountered in the air pollution work. Occasionally an operation is encountered which exhibits such wide flow variation with time that pitot measurements are meaningless. Two methods have been developed which measure the volume rate of discharge from such sources. A detailed description of each method and the results of the field testing of both are given. (Author)
