Abstract : An attempt is made to estimate all eigenvalues of a general mdimensional selfadjoint elliptic operator by the method of nets. Using linear interpolation of the boundary values to the mesh boundary, the estimate is of second order with respect to the stepsize. Also, for a certain class of regions the estimate is given for the solution without transferring the boundary values to the approximating boundary. (Author)
