Abstract : This manual provides instructions for the operation and maintenance of the SYNTAC Photographic Projection Display System of the Combat Operations Research Group (CORG) wargaming facility. The system provides a quick and simple means for display, transmission, and storage of wargaming information. Large glass panels are stationed in from of eight overhead projectors. When a transparent acetate is placed on a projector, a magnified image appears on the rear surface of the Lenscreen. During a war game, information is generated on the opposite, or front, side of the Lenscreen by game players or controllers. After the display has been completed, the panel is moved along a monorail track to a camera station where the information on the Lenscreen is recorded using Xerographic photography. (Author)
